iPad Keyboards Options
Now that you have decided to investigate iPad keyboards, which do you choose? Which company makes the best iPad keyboard? While it is likely impossible to say, each brand’s model has its respective pros and cons, and carefully analyzing each could very well help you find the best one for you.
The firstĀ model to consider is the one that is made and marketed by the creator of the iPad itself, Apple. The official Apple iPad keyboard actually functions as an iPad dock protruding from a silver and white keyboard very similar to those that are shipped with Apple computers. Some of the pros of this model as described by actual customers is that the keyboard is slim and lightweight and, as one might expect from the company who makes the iPad, it is fully compatible and functions without a hitch. Cons include that the user must remove any protective case they may have attached to their iPad in order to fit it onto the dock, leaving it vulnerable to damage. One customer claimed that the iPad actually does not even attach securely, and as a result theirs fell to the floor and cracked the screen.
Remember the strengths and weaknesses of Apple’s iPad keyboard model in mind, you may want to consider some “off-brand” options. A few brands to consider would be Kensington, Aidacase, and Menotek. Their models have slightly different features than Apple’s, for example, Aidacase and Kensington models actually fold into an attached case, whereas Menotek’s model may serve as a simple, budget version of Apple’s keyboard. These are just a few examples of brands to consider, as there are actually quite a few companies out there making iPad keyboards. Be sure to have all the facts when you decide which one is right for you.
